PDXFH Foundations in Roller Skating

All skill levels welcome. However, if you do not know how to do a bubble/swizzle & plow stops in both directions, we recommend you get started with Roll Right classes.

Foundations in Roller Skating class, is where you'll develop essential skate skills to enhance your control and confidence on wheels. While we cover skills like bubbles, strides, stops, turns, pivots, spins, slalom patterns, and selected at random. Skaters may have the opportunity to express their focus areas to break through the struggle bus they may be on. In this class, the whole group is working on the same skills focus. We’ll start with beginner ideas around a skill focus and follow an evolution of modifications in movement to understand how to control each skill. Class capacity 25

It is self assessing, as things progress, if it is way out of your comfort zone, you may take that idea to attempt another day. By that time in the class, you will have enough things to practice as others move through the modifications in movement around our area of focus. Each Class will be different and we will not be keeping track.
